We’re building new facilities on our own piece of land to provide a home for 70+ children, as well as education and skills training to hundreds more in our community.
Brand New Day is an outreach and rehabilitation program for youth in the Philippines who have been abandoned, abused, or neglected, and spend their days on the street.
Our current, rented facilities can only house up to 14 children and teens, but many more need the services we offer—shelter, education, and spiritual care.
We’ll provide a home for more youth who have nowhere else to live, and are in need of a family and a loving home. Our new shelter buildings will allow us to divide children and teens by gender, age, and stage of their rehabilitation process. This ensures safety and proper individualized care for our youth to succeed in their environment.
At-risk kids from our local community will be invited to grow and thrive in a safe place off the streets.
We’ll have a supervised basketball court, playing field, playground, and multi-purpose building for youth to receive tutoring, counseling, skills training, spiritual care, and more.
We’re building in phases, starting with the first Shelter Building, then the Multi-purpose Building, the Basketball Court, and the other shelter buildings as funds are raised.
The lot is ~5,400 square meters (1.34 acres) and is abundant with coconut, lanzones, jackfruit, soursop, and santol trees. The front half of the lot will be for community-accessible areas, including a full basketball court, playing field, playground, and a multi-purpose building. The back half will be for shelter homes and garden areas.
